Just ad a side note ...
How does portal submission and review work. I mean I know how it happens ... but what is the precise rout for these.
1. Someone clicks submit.
2. I've gotten portals to review ... and heard it goes to 9 other people ... allegedly at random ... allegedly not in the area of the submission portal (and this isn't true I've had them for 5 mile away regularly) ... so that's open to abuse 😕
3. When we've done our bit .... what then.
And I've had portals that I've reviewed yesterday .... but on speaking around found they were active a week ago anyway. So ... what is it I'm doing then 😩
1a) portals stay in queue for 1 to 7 days.
ReplyDelete2) read the FAQ. You will get portals from 3 locations. The area you currently play, your configured home location, your bonus location.
3) portal goes live or not :)
People have speculated that niantic will cue up portals for you to review. So if a portal is in your cue and enough other players reject it or accept it, the decision might be made before you review it. People have also speculated that maybe those are used as a test. We don't really know what goes on behind the scenes
