Is there a site for portal coal that been actually accepted? I just reviewed a candidate that I felt was verging into coal territory: a gate at a baseball park. Nothing interesting at all, just a hole in a concrete wall with a "3" painted at one side (as in "entrance number 3, for those of you tickets in this sector"). No interesting colours, just a rectangular hole in an unpainted concrete wall with a number. Checking for duplicates I was rather amazed to find that other gates with different numbers had already been accepted as portals... Now the ball park as a whole I can understand; perfectly valid portal there. But how on earth do the individual sector entrances qualify?
