  1. I mean it's not LITERALLY a trail marker, but it is in the category of things that encourage folks to go out walking and have adventures. It does mark a feature on the beach. And the beach itself is a thing worth exploring. The reason for accepting it is the same as the reason for accepting a trail marker or USGS marker, which are not in their own right interesting to look at.

  2. Plymouth Ansbergs Stop trying to twist OPR to fit your needs. It's not LITERALLY a good portal candidate.
    If you go to a remote town and there's no portals, that does not mean you should submit a street sign.
    A trail marker encourages you to hike the trail to reach it. Driving to the beach to see a warning sign is no-one's idea of interesting.
    In any case, Bolinas has about 40 portals in it and 2 are already on the beach, so you're argument is defunct.
    But, you go right ahead trying to approve rubbish. It's your OPR rating, not mine. Mines great, because I know what rubbish is.
