Regardless of it having some sort of artistic purpose, the idea that collecting corrosive metal rubbish near a body of water is either a sensible thing in itself and then it should be a portal just strikes me as odd.
And this is exactly the cool sort of local site I love finding out about playing Ingress. People spontaneously leaving excercise equipment in one spot? This smacks of Shaper Ingression! Obviously influenced by XM.
