  1. Michael Morgan Actually the submissions in Korea seem to be getting better, though obviously the crap will still keep coming to some extent. I expect there'll be an initial rush from the PoGo kids that lvled just to make portals/Pokestops, but if reviewers are diligent only the good stuff should get through.

  2. It is my hope that putting a limit on the number of outstanding submissions combined with a relatively fast vetting process through OPR will discourage this kind of behavior.

Near the end of the original submission fiasco, we were looking at 9-12 months to get an answer on a portal submission, and there was no limit to submissions. Combine that with incredibly overworked NIA employees trying desperately to work through the backlog and the resulting randomness to acceptance, and a rational "best bet" to seer was to photograph everything and submit it as quickly as possible, with no eye toward quality.

OPR is not perfect, but it's better than limited overworked resources.

Limiting outstanding submissions and adding some consistency to acceptance will hopefully turn the rational best bet to seer into "make the most of every submission I have, and make them all easy for OPR to accept quickly with little research"

  3. Wow... Some of these portals are silly... Glad ya got some control of not allowing these.
